Latest Sounds: Brand New Music – Charlotte OC, Broken Twin and Garden City Movement
charlotteoc

Charlotte OC
Charlotte OC is from good old England and more specifically Blackburn (full of holes if you ask The Beatles), she is set to release her debut EP “Colour My Heart” on Stranger Records, the EP is released on Monday 25th November. The EP features four tracks – Colour My Heart, Hangover, Cut the Rope and Stolen Car – you can listen to Hangover below on from soundcloud. Charlotte OC looks set for some big air play with Radio 2 having already played her and there has been quite an internet buzz about her – Stranger Records also released Lana Del Rey’s Video Games – and the comparisons have not stopped there – her warm and full vocal is Del Rey like. The EP title track was written in Berlin by Charlotte OC and then produced and recorded in Los Angeles, New Music Blog certainly give her a big thumbs up – lets hope the EP does well!

Broken Twin
Staying with the theme of a strong female vocalist we bring you Broken Twin and her excellent “Sun Has Gone”, hailing from Denmark and 24 years of age she is described on her website as “A young woman with good stories to tell and a magical way of doing so” – with a simple solid production setup – the piano really stands out on “Sun Has Gone” – listen below and enjoy another strong vocal. She is signed to Anti-Records – also home to Beth Orton and The Antlers. The real name of Broken Twin is Majke Voss Romme and she is in the middle of supporting Daughter on their European tour – having done extensive dates in the UK – she will then concentrate on completing the recording of her debut album – which is set for a new album release in 2014. From the sound of just that one song we are quite excited to hear some new output from Broken Twin – a clear talent in the making.

Garden-City-Movement

Garden City Movement
The debut EP from Garden City Movement is called “Entertainment” and contains four tracks – Casa Mila, Move On, Entertainment and The More You Make It. Garden City Movement are a young Israeli trio – Joe, Roi and Johnny and they have already played with Disclosure and Floating Points. You can listen to “Move On” below and get lost in one of the most chilled out tracks you’re ever likely to hear – it would maybe more suit a summer release as it would be a great one to listen to with the sun on your back – but there is clearly big potential in this band – we’re looking forward to hearing more from the Garden City Movement.
